Volunteers Urgently Needed at St. Anthony Foundation This Summer

Help Ensure Meals, Clothing, and Tech Access Reach Those Who Need Them Most

SAN FRANCISCO, July 28, 2025 — From now through early August, St. Anthony Foundation is urgently seeking volunteers to support critical programs that provide food, clothing, and technology access to low-income and unhoused San Franciscans. The summer months are among the most challenging for volunteer turnout—but the needs of the community don’t take a vacation.

Each day, up to 60 volunteers are required to serve more than 1,000 guests who turn to St. Anthony’s for whole-person care, community, and connection. Volunteer support is essential in the Dining Room, Free Clothing Program, and Tech Lab, where guests receive warm meals, clean clothes, digital access, job training, and more.

Families, students, and local groups have already registered to volunteer—join them and make a difference this summer.

St. Anthony Foundation is San Francisco’s most effective one-stop resource for individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, or addiction. From hot meals and primary medical care to employment pathways and community connection, St. Anthony’s offers trusted, evidence-based services that help people stabilize and thrive.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Dining Room: Daily, 6:30–8:30 a.m. (breakfast) and 9:30 a.m.–1:45 p.m. (lunch)
• New! We now offer a daily volunteer shift in our Dining Room from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., available seven days a week
• Free Clothing Program:
  • Weekdays, 8:30 a.m.–noon and 1–4 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.–noon and 1:15–4 p.m.
• Tech Lab: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–noon and 1–4 p.m.
