Guests will gather at The Hibernia on August 21 to honor volunteers and donors whose support changes lives, one warm meal and one kind conversation at a time
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., August 5, 2025 — To thank and celebrate the volunteers, donors, and community members who have fueled St. Anthony’s mission for the past 75 years, the organization is hosting a celebratory Luncheon on Thursday, August 21st at The Hibernia. Proceeds from the event will support St. Anthony’s Whole Person Care initiative, an evidence-based, integrated care model in the Tenderloin offering medical care, addiction recovery, workforce development, and one-on-one companions to walk alongside each guest on their journey to stability.
“For 75 years, St. Anthony’s has served as a beacon of hope in the Tenderloin thanks to the unwavering support of our volunteers, donors, and community partners. We simply wouldn’t be here today without them,” said St. Anthony Foundation CEO, Dr. Larry Kwan. “Since opening our doors in 1950, more than tens of thousands of volunteers have helped St. Anthony’s in supporting guests with meals, services, and compassion. This luncheon is a time to celebrate and reflect on the generations of compassion that brought us here, and to look ahead with hope.”
From 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., guests are invited to take part in both silent and live auctions featuring unique experiences and pieces that directly support St. Anthony Foundation. The event will showcase inspiring stories of volunteer impact, highlighting the real difference people have made in guests’ lives. Attendees will also learn how they can be part of what’s next, with opportunities to get involved and support St. Anthony’s evolving programs in meaningful ways.
“This luncheon is not just a moment to honor the past 75 years, but to look ahead and ask ourselves how we continue showing up for our community in the years to come,” Dr. Terry Osback, St. Anthony’s Chief Medical Officer, said. “It’s a chance to be surrounded by the people who make St. Anthony’s what it is: a place of great love and hope. Being in the same room with so many supporters, volunteers, and friends reminds us why we do this work—and how much more we can do together.”
St. Anthony Foundation looks forward to celebrating this milestone and the community that made it possible. As the organization looks ahead to the next 75 years, this gathering stands as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people come together in service and love. Register for tickets here today.
