Summer is quickly approaching. San Franciscans know what this means: cold and foggy weather. While the rest of the country soaks up the sun, escape our summer chill and head to St. Anthony’s for a (heart)warming volunteer shift serving others.

New volunteers and returning volunteers, we welcome you to kick-off your summer by attending our St. Anthony’s Volunteer Open House on Wednesday, June 12th!

Our Volunteer Open House will give you the opportunity to meet staff and other potential volunteers, learn about volunteer opportunities at St. Anthony’s, and tour our Dining Room and Clothing Program while enjoying complementary refreshments. We’ll also have time for Q&A, so bring any questions you have about the volunteer experience at St. Anthony’s.

Featured Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Dining Room Service Volunteer: Serve trays, clear tables, and provide hospitality in our Dining Room, which serves approximately 2,000 meals per day, every day of the year.
  • Dining Room Food Prep Volunteer: Assist our professional chefs in preparing daily meals by prepping ingredients.
  • Clothing Program Personal Shopper Volunteer: Assist guests with finding their preferred sizes, colors and styles in the Free Clothing Program store. Help to select, sort, and hang new/like-new clothing donations for distribution to our guests.
  • Tech Lab Specialized Volunteers: Support our Tech Lab guests as a tutor, a teaching assistant, or a front desk associate.

Meet-and-greet will be held from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Please arrive by 6:30 pm in order to participate in tours of our programming. After our tours, we will hold a Q&A session.
