Tech Lab

The Tenderloin Technology Lab (TTL) is the Tenderloin’s only free technology center specializing in bridging the digital divide and looking for technology solutions for issues of poverty. Over 100 homeless and low-income clients pass through the TTL each day to access technology and build their employment skills. Within the TTL we offer free intensive computer classes, one-on-one tutoring, job search counseling and life skills courses, all designed specifically for the learning styles of adults struggling with poverty, addiction, mental health challenges or homelessness. In addition to the work in our physical space, we also work with developers to create mobile technology solutions for challenges this population is facing.

Additionally, every quarter the TTL unites the private sector and community partners at Tenderloin Tech Fairs. Through these gatherings clients can have their computers professionally diagnosed, take specialized computer skills courses, and access a wealth of resources.
