Capital Campaign

St. Anthony Foundation's new building at
150 Golden Gate Avenue.

Multiplying Hope and Dignity

Since its founding on October 4th, 1950, St. Anthony Foundation has served more than 35 million free meals to our neediest neighbors. Our multiple programs provide food, shelter, clothing, medical care, rehabilitation services, counseling, and other vital services to people in need.

Today, more people than ever are coming to us for help. In response, St. Anthony Foundation has embarked upon its first ever capital campaign, Multiply Hope & Dignity, that is raising funds for the construction of two new facilities which will significantly increase efficiencies, be seismically sound,  and produce a highly dignified environment for our guests, clients, and patients:

Phase I: 150 Golden Gate Avenue (Green, LEED Certified construction)
Goal: $22M                 Raised to Date: $18.5M          Building complete

Free Medical & Pediatric Clinic: Our expanded Clinic will provide an additional 5,000 patient visits each year to children and adults without increasing staff. It will include an additional five exam rooms (13 total) and dedicated rooms for triage, treatment, and procedures. We will also be able to provide specialty care such as dental services, specialized allergy services, and enhanced mental health services.

Employment Program/Technology Lab: Our new Employment Program/Technology Lab will increase capacity and provide enhanced job search and comprehensive technology training.

Social Work Center: The new facility will house an expanded emergency food pantry and enhanced classes and support groups for families and individuals.

Phase II: 121 Golden Gate Avenue
Goal: $TBD         Raised to Date: $1M+      Anticipated Ground-Breaking: January, 2010

Dining Room: Our new Dining Room will allow us to serve thousands more guests each year in a more efficient and dignified manner. The new Dining Room will have increased seating capacity, two serving lines instead of one, and more effective and reliable equipment. In addition, the design will include an exterior arcade, decreasing sidewalk congestion and protecting our guests from inclement weather.

Planned Partnership with Mercy Housing:  Mercy Housing will occupy an estimated 7-8 floors thatwill create 90+ new units of housing for homeless and low-income seniors.
