St. Anthony’s Young Professionals Council Rally Support for Women and Children Fleeing Domestic Violence

This community fundraising event will raise awareness and critical financial support for emergency hotel stays that provide immediate safety for families while they navigate long-term shelter. 

WHAT:
St. Anthony Foundation’s Young Professionals Council (founded in 2012) is a dedicated, action-oriented group of professionals who organize volunteer efforts and fundraising initiatives, as well as encourage other young professionals to get involved with St. Anthony’s. This year’s fundraiser, Safe Nights, Bright Future, is an evening benefiting the Rescue Rest Fund, which last year provided short-term emergency hotel stays for over 40 women and their children fleeing domestic violence.

The evening will include a short program where guests hear stories about the life-changing impact of the Rescue Rest Fund, followed by an opportunity to assemble essential hygiene kits for the families the fund helps.

WHY:
When women with children flee domestic violence or other crises, finding immediate shelter isn’t always possible. The Rescue Rest Fund bridges that gap by providing emergency hotel stays, allowing families to reach safety while St. Anthony Foundation helps connect them to longer-term shelter and support. 

Each year, the fund helps more than 40 women and children access immediate safety during one of the most difficult moments of their lives. Beyond emergency shelter, families receive compassionate guidance as they navigate the next steps toward stability. 

Events like Safe Nights, Bright Future help ensure that when a woman or child needs a safe place to sleep, St. Anthony Foundation can respond immediately with care, dignity and support.
