Donations from Community Groups

St Anthony’s receives no public funds for our work feeding and clothing vulnerable San Franciscans. We rely on donations from generous-hearted supporters to continue the work started when Fr. Alfred Boeddeker opened our doors for the first time in 1950.

90% of all donations made by our supporters go directly to programs that care for our homeless and low income neighbors. There’s no more effective way to give.

Monthly donations are the bedrock of the financial backing we’re able to give our programs. If you are able to commit a regular amount each month we can plan effectively to make sure our services are properly resourced to reach those in need.

One-time donations are particularly welcome and have an immediate impact on the services we are able to provide to our neighbors.

Legacies and bequests are always the most special gifts received by St. Anthony’s and we are privileged to know families across the bay area whose loved ones have thought of us in their final arrangements.

Clothes donations are given directly to homeless and low income San Franciscans. We do not resell clothes, but rather make sure they go where they are needed – to the 150 men, women and children who come to our clothing program each day.

Please bring donations to our ‘drop off’ at 121 Golden Gate Avenue where one of our uniformed staff members will give you immediate assistance.

Food donations are enthusiastically welcomed by our team of chefs! These can be dropped off ‘at the curb’ outside 121 Golden Gate Avenue.

We have helpful guidelines for donations of cars and stock.

And, finally, If you are an estate planning or probate attorney, please contact us for assistance by calling Dolores Gould on 415-592-2704 or dgould@StAnthonySF.org
