Senior Outreach and Support Services

Senior Outreach and Support Services (SOSS) provides outreach and social services to seniors 60 years and over to promote independence and self-determination and to alleviate isolation.

Social Work Team
The SOSS Social Work Team of the Madonna Senior Center and Residence provides support to both senior women who live at the Madonna Residence and to low-income or homeless seniors from the Tenderloin and North of Market community. Social workers offer information, referral or essential services related to housing, medical needs, financial issues and life skills. They also provide representative payee services to individuals receiving SSA and SSI. Social work services are available to seniors between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for Wednesday between 12 noon and 3 p.m..
