I have had wonderful times in the dining room and with all the people that I worked with. I hope that we'll have some of those memories in the new facility. Barbara is a wonderful manager. Thanks, Kathy Dougherty

Hi, I have served in the dining room for over 25 years, and I will come to work on 02/25/2012. I am scheduled to work that day but would like to see some of the program.

Thank you, Pat Valente

I am thankful for the circumstances that led to my volunteering here,
which led to a full-time job. This is the best job I have ever had.
It is sad to see the Dining Room go...but, my experience volunteering
was grrrrrrrrrrreat...I didn't have any clue about the less fortunate,
or homelessness, or Veteran's that weren't taken care of after the time
they served for OUR COUNTRY. I had mostly good interactions with our
guests.
THANK GOODNESS FR. ALFRED and 45 JONES!!!

I volunteered there for a year while traveling from Boston to SF for work. I was amazed and highly impressed by the St. Anthony approach in the Dining Room, with thousands of meals served daily. I will never forget the staff, volunteers, and guests I was so fortunate to encounter during that year. Thank you so much for "walking the talk" and making God a true presence in your community. I wish you nothing but the best during this time of transition.

I have served some 15+ years & will miss the old dining room but a new one is a new start for all. Change is good & this will be a new beginning & fresh place for all to enjoy.

, While change is good and welcome, it is sad to see the old building demolished. I have spent over 20 years serving in the dining room. I will miss the frescoes on the wall.

In one way it will be sad to say good bye to this old building where so much love, compassion and caring have dwelt. God's Presence has surely been felt by guests, volunteers and all workers during this time. But when I look forward to a beautiful new place were the dignity of our guests will be honored I am filled with joy. Thank you to all who have made it be possible.
