San Francisco Sit / Lie Law

The city of San Francisco is currently discussing a proposal to make sitting or laying on the sidewalk illegal. People ticketed for the crime of sitting on the sidewalk would have to pay fines (up to $500), complete community service hours, and/or face jail time (up to 30 days).

Make your voice heard! Contact Mayor Newsom and the members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and tell them what you think about the proposed sit/lie law.
